Antonio Bullo was born in 1952 in the town of Chioggia, near Venice, Italy. After studying at the School of Ceramics in Faenza and while still earning his degree in sculpture at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts he began collaborating with some of the most prestigious Italian companies producing ceramics and bathroom furniture. He did not have to wait long for international success, which was manifested, among other things, in the honoring with two Design Plus Awards at the ISH in Frankfurt. Furthermore, Antonio Bullo lectures at the Higher Institute of Artistic Industries (ISIA) in Faenza.
Antonio Bullo – Combining Utility and Aesthetics
Antonio Bullo says that he created the Millio design series in order to breathe new life into objects that are otherwise confined to their essentials. These blurred boundaries between purely utilitarian and aesthetically pleasing objects can be found throughout his work. This philosophy is embodied in the toilet that Antonio Bullo designed for Duravit, with its various finishes and color concepts, as well as the uniqueness of its highly efficient flushing system.
